Pakistan: Fisherman dies in Indian jail September 15,2021   |  Source: Dawn

According to the Fishermen Cooperative Society (FCS), Pakistani fisherman Ameer Hamza, son of Jafar Ahmed, was a victim of human rights violations by the Indian jail staff. He succumbed to constant ill treatment by them. The deceased is said to be a resident of Ali Akbar Shah Goth in Korangi. He was on board the fishing boat Al-Najam when he was arrested by Indian forces at sea on November 30, 2017. The 40-year-old fisherman was the father of two children. An atmosphere of gloom fell over his home as soon as the news of his death reached his family there.
