  • Description
  • This film deals with the threats to fisheries and how fisherfolk all over the world have mobilized to protect their way of life. The film highlights the National Fishworkers' Forum's struggle in Kerala and West Bengal, India and the fishermen's struggle in Bangladesh. It shows how the optimism of 19th century scientist, Thomas Huxley, that the sea fisheries are inexhaustible is no longer available to us. The footage on India and Bangladesh was supported by Anand Patwardhan. The film is also available in Bengali and Hindi.
