  • Description
  • After the failure of the 5th Ministerial meeting of WTO in Cancun, Mexico, in 2003, to support fisheries under trade agreements, artisanal fisherfolk expect intensified efforts of powerful countries to push the clenching of Non-Agricultural Market Access (NAMA) trade agreement in the 6th WTO meeting in Hong Kong. Free trade negotiations in fisheries are included in NAMA.
This movie documents the protests of Filipino and southeast Asian activists comprising of fisherfolk leaders and even trade union activists from other fields, against the WTO.
