  • This video shows how the FAO Code of Conduct for Responsible Fisheries, adopted in 1995, is promoted in the State of Tamil Nadu, India. With support from the Bay of Bengal Programme (BOBP), the Tamil Nadu Department of Fisheries translated the code into Tamil, and organized a road show and street plays to convey the message in coastal fishing villages and to explain the concepts of the Code to fisherfolk populations.
