  • Description
  • This is uncut audio-visual footage of the ICSF workshop held in Ceara, Brazil in June 2000, which includes presentations by the various participants. The workshop was held at the coastal fishing village of Prainha do Canto Verde, in the State of Ceara, Brazil. The village was selected to give participants from other countries an opportunity to understand the reality of fishing communities in Ceara. The experience of ICSF"s Women in Fisheries programme in countries like Senegal and India indicates that the participation of women in fisheries has contributed to meaningful dialogues on the link between sustainable fisheries and healthy fishing communities. The film also highlights issues related to world fishery production, market share and EEZs.
